Inspired by those sweet and quiet moments that get overlooked easily in our daily lives... Those times when we are taking our time to lounge around, doing nothing, and enjoy being present without any rushes, feeling nourished and appreciative of the ordinary. 🌿
The series also referencing Matisse's paintings, one of my favorite masters of all time.
Illustrations for IPPF t-shirts for the attendees of The International conference on family planning takes place in November in Pattaya City, Thailand. The theme of the design will embrace our sexual reproductive health and rights work and will be youth focused.

Living in New York City for many years has shaped me in many ways. One of that is the appreciation of the diversity of the humans of NYC. I wanted to capture the NYC pride spirit into these coloring postcards that speaks joy and celebration.

Matara Studio - a fine pearl jewelry brand, together with 125 Sathorn - a luxury condominium in downtown Bangkok, is hosting a jewelry exhibition and live art mural painting. I was commissioned to create Matara’s version of “Girl with a Pearl Earring” along with drawing portraits of guests attending the event.

Personal project of revised illustrations of Wandering Mind series originally created in 2019. Creative journey is a process, and it’s totally okay that your artistic style evolves over time, and it’s also okay to not liking where you are right now. I recreated my own work from 2019 and wanted to share my style journey with you.
In art and in life, when you decide to grow in order to remain true to yourself, some people may not resonate with your evolving character, and it’s okay to let them go. Letting them go is the way to create space to receive those who are resonate with what you do. I hope it reminds us to choose progress over obsession to perfection.

NIKE commissioned me to create an original design for Tennis’s celebrating tee that captures the essence of ‘Celebration’ with the Thailand Country’s pride and also aligned with the spirit of ‘Play New’ campaign which is in the cheerful, playful and fun way.
This design will be screened on Nike Blank T-Shirts and give to Tennis and her friends and family (Not for commercial use).

With Homebody, Ping Hatta brings bold works that play within comfort and bodies at leisure. The domestic settings of the paintings—a couch, beach, or luscious plants—are done in warm, soft neutrals that contrast with the bold silhouettes and large flat bodies. For Ping, a woman can be both soft and strong where she can command a space as effortlessly as she can blend into her surroundings. These two dichotomies of strength and softness can coexist harmoniously. It is the artist’s wish that all women/womxn to be able to see their beauty and strength mirrored in these pieces.
Homebody is a continuation of my artistic journey in trying to find my authenticity through different phases of my life. Through years of working in the fashion industry, specifically lingerie, I felt that my past works and my approach in creating art no longer resonate with my personal values. Women have been and are still sexualized a majority of their lives starting at a very young age and I no longer want to contribute to the normalization of that culture. For me, the scale and purposely off-proportions of the figures removes the impulse to sexualize female form and instead brings out a sense of comfort and a touch of humor. I paint large figures because I think they look beautiful and strong, emphasizing the strength in the shoulders. There is something playful and visually beautiful about these proportions and silhouettes to me.
“This series is also a continuation of a journey of finding my space as an Asian woman in this world. Like many Asian/AAPI womxn out there, I experience nuances of racism throughout my life, sometimes shockingly in my home-country. These personal feelings are being channeled onto Homebody. It is important to me that the subjects I paint emanate a sense of comfort even if they occupy the whole painting. Occupying space feels empowering and delightful to me, particularly in spaces that were not designed for me to be in.”
A series of 12 zodiac signs fashion illustration for Vogue Japan highlighting Fall/Winter 2021 looks from various designer brands. Each illustration was hand-painted using gouache and Indian ink, then scanned and clean up in Photoshop.

River City Bangkok Holiday Decorations
Illustrations and holiday decoration designs for River City Bangkok mall, under the theme “Dress Up and Get Happy”

No one needs to be reminded of the difficulties of 2020. More than ever, it is important to stay positive and share happiness and hope with others, no matter the distance. This year’s holiday season centre decorations have been created by Ping Hatta, and accomplished Thai illustrator who splits her time between New York and Bangkok.
With this installation, titled “Dress Up and Get Happy”, Ping says “I want to tell stories of how happiness can still be shared even when we are apart. We can maintain optimism, find hope, and commit to good intentions for the year ahead.”
Here, Ping shares her inspiration for her work for River City Bangkok.
Outside River City Bangkok, commuters of all ages, ethnicity, gender, and religious beliefs, transit through Si Phraya Pier park. The characters in the gardens are open to the interpretation of passers by. Ping continues, “I thought it would be fun to have the ladies dressed-up and looking fabulous, even with a face shield and mask. We will not let the hassle of ‘safe practice’ get in our way when it comes to celebration. I love how the illustrations on the sliding doors at the entrance bring the friends together.”
As you wander all floors of River City Bangkok, you will see a number of different characters.
Crazy Cat Lady - I wanted to erase the misconception of the “Crazy Cat Lady” stereotype. She is self-composed, confident, and looks fabulous regardless of her age and body shapes.
Long-distance relationship – It looks like social distancing and travel-restrictions are here to stay for a while. Thanks to digital technology we can stay connected.
A bag full of hearts – I choose hearts as a symbol of sending, giving, and receiving love and care for one another. Here, the woman has a bag full of hearts and ready to shower everyone with her love and kindness.
Characters dancing in the garden – people having fun in the outdoors. Are they friends or lovers? You decide.
New York lock-down - I’ve seen couples dancing on rooftops, roommates in their swimsuits sunbathing in their windows, and neighbours chatting across the apartment balconies - raising a glass and saying “cheers”.
I wanted to shine the spotlight on “non-white” and “gender-fluid” people who are often left out of Thailand’s social scene. Sometimes, we’re so caught up in what is happening around us that we forget we are actually citizens of the same world. With so much divisiveness in Thailand and around the world, we should not impose limits on ourselves, only mixing with people of the same nationality or those who look and think like us. I created this artwork to remind us that we are all “one”, of the same human race.
I wanted to highlight celebrating, not only culturally, but also in terms of inclusivity. It is the time where people celebrate other religious holidays or just simply wanting to get together. So I am going for a more conceptual approach than a literal Christmas theme. I use universal, simple shapes like circles and star with playful colours to cheer up the spirit, and connect people throughout River City Bangkok.
